R1SE MEMBERSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please ensure you read and understand these terms before you enter into the membership agreement.

1. OUR MEMBERSHIP & CLASS PASSES

(A) Membership and class passes are non-transferable and non-refundable.

(B) All requests pertaining to membership should be put in writing and addressed to R1SE Fitness and Wellbeing. rise@hiltonbournemouth.co.uk

(C) 12 month memberships payable by monthly direct debit will have their fees collected on or nearby the 1st of each month. After the 12 months your membership will automatically move onto a rolling membership unless you inform us otherwise in writing to rise@hiltonbournemouth.co.uk. Any changes must be submitted by the 15th of the month to be amended ready for the next collection date.

(D) 1 month, week and annual membership payments will be paid upfront and will not automatically renew after completion.

(E) Any membership offers are open to new members only.

(F) R1SE is committed not only to the letter of the law, but also to the spirit of the law and high importance on the correct, lawful, and fair handling of all personal data, respecting the legal rights, privacy, and trust of all individual’s with whom it deals.

(G) We reserve the right to change fees from time to time with at least one month's prior written notice to you. If you do not wish to accept the increase in membership fees, you may cancel your membership by giving one month's written notice to rise@hiltonbournemouth.co.uk before the date on which the fee increase takes effect.

(H) For discounted memberships, you must show valid proof of ID for the entirety of your contract. If your entitlement expires within your contract, your rate will increase accordingly, unless you provide us with an updated ID. This applies to Student, Corporate, Bluelight, PT and Child rates. You may be contacted periodically to resend in proof of your entitlement.

 

2. CANCELLATION & HOLD

(A) If at any point you wish to cancel your membership, you must contact R1SE at rise@hiltonbournemouth.co.uk in writing giving a minimum of one month notice. Subscriptions paid in advance will not be refunded. If you signed up for a 12 month contract and are within the initial 12 month period you will be required to pay the remainder of your contract.

(B) Should it be necessary to terminate your membership due to illness, injury, pregnancy, loss of income or relocation, written requests and proof are required to rise@hiltonbournemouth.co.uk

(C) A membership may be put on hold with a reason given for a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 3 months. This request needs to be received in writing before the 15th of the month in order to take affect from the beginning of the following month to rise@hiltonbournemouth.co.uk

(D) Access of the facilities will be denied if any part of your fees remain unpaid 30 days after its due date. 

3. MEMBERSHIP CARDS 

(A) Every member shall be given a membership card and must scan it on entering. If you do not have your card you may be asked for proof of identity to register manually with our reception team.

(B) If a member should lose their card, this loss should be reported immediately and another card will be issued at a replacement cost of £5.

(C) The same membership card must be shown at the point of sale if wanting to claim your discount in the hotel. Discounts are not available on items already discounted, in a sale, on membership charges, functions, parties, events or guest fees.

 4. CLASSES

(A) If you are unable to attend a class, you MUST cancel your booking on the system online or by calling in to reception on 01202 200 180. We request you cancel with at least 12 hours prior to the class start time.

(B) Please arrive on time for your class. If you are late you may be refused entry, your space may be given away and you may lose your class credit.

(C) If it is your first time attending a given class, please arrive 5-10 minutes before to inform the instructor and allow time for an induction.

(D) Repetitive late cancellations (within 12 hours), late comers & no shows will be monitored and will be subject to a fine of £15 taken via direct card payment.

 

5. GUESTS 

(A) All guests must be accompanied by a member over the age of 16 years on entering the club.

(B) Members introducing guests shall ensure that their guests register, read and sign the health and safety form and pay the appropriate fee.

(C) Full membership includes 1 guest pass per month. Discounted membership includes 1 guest pass every other month.

(D) Members may not leave the building before their guests and are responsible for their good conduct and safety whilst on the premises.

(E) Members must ensure that their guests are aware of the R1SE terms and conditions. R1SE take no responsibility for accidents, injuries, misadventure, theft or damage to personal belongings.

(F) No members may introduce any guest who have been rejected as a member or who has had their membership revoked.

 

6. OPENING HOURS

(A) We will normally be open from 6:00am to 10:00pm, Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 9:00pm on Saturday and 8.00am to 9.00pm on Sunday. Last entry is one hour before closing. Members must vacate poolside facilities 30 minutes before close. Timings are subject to change during holiday periods.

(B) The management reserve the right to refuse admission and may expel any Member or guest whose conduct may be injurious to the character or the interests of its members.

 

7. CHILDREN

(A) Child membership is for those aged between 3 and 15 years and is strictly for the pool and changing use only. Children under the age of 16 must not use the steam room or sauna and are not permitted in the spa, treatment areas. Children must be supervised by an adult (over 18) at all times whilst on the premises.

(B) Babies, under 2s, are able to use the pool under full supervison with an adult with a ratio of 1 adult to 1 baby.

(C) Children’s pool hours are between 8.00am to 11:00am & 3:00pm to 6:00pm Monday to Sunday.

(D) At aged 16 all users will automatically be charged a full adult membership fee, unless shown proof of full time studies to warrant a student membership.

(E) The ratio of adults to children is 1 adult per 2 children under 8 years.

 

8. LIABILITY

(A) Management shall not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage to personal property. For security reasons, all lockers must be vacated by the end of each visit. All lockers will be checked and emptied at the end of each day. Any contents will be disposed of for security reasons.

(B) If any personal property is found, please hand this into the reception.

(C) Management will not be responsible for the death, injury, illness and/or mental impairment of any member and/or guest caused and/or aggravated by any prior injury or illness, whether known or not, through the use of the facilities. Should your medical history change, please inform a member of the team before using the facilities.

(D) Anyone using the car park does so at their own risk. No liability is accepted for loss or damage to cars or property. Members are kindly offered complimentary use of the Terrace Mount car park for 2 hours only, subject to space available. If you wish to stay longer you will need to pay the additional fee. You must enter your car registration on arrival into the club, within 10 minutes of parking or you will be asked to pay an additional fee upon departure of the car park.

 

9. HEALTH & SAFETY CONDUCT

(A) It is your responsibility to ensure that you do not exercise beyond your capabilities and to refer to a medical professional if you have any health concerns prior to using the facilities, and at any stage during the term of your membership

(B) Members must complete the medical questionnaire upon joining and update when necessary. You must advise staff of any personal disability e.g. blindness, deafness, heart condition, epilepsy, allergies etc. prior to using the facilities so any accidents or injuries can be avoided. Those with diabetes, heart problems, high/low blood pressure or who are on strong prescriptions or who have any form of indications of a medical condition should consult their doctor before exercising and using the facilities.

(C) Bags are not permitted onto the gym, spa or arena floor and correct attire must be worn when exercising i.e. suitable exercise clothing and appropriate footwear. Clothing such as jeans, boots, flip-flops/sandals or work wear is not permitted.

(D) In the interest of health and hygiene, you must shower before entering the pool, bubble pool, steam or sauna areas.

(E) No pets will be allowed in, except for registered guide dogs.

(F) The management may withdraw all or part of the facilities at any time for any length of period when deemed necessary for repair, maintenance, alteration or safety reason.

(G) Members must not bring food, alcohol, drugs or glassware into the gym, arena, changing rooms or on to poolside.

(H) It is prohibited for anyone to use the facilities under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.

(I) The Arena is strictly for class use only, no member will be allowed access without being accompanied by a member of staff.

 

10. PHOTOGRAPHY

(A) R1SE reserves the rights to any photos taken on the premises. In signing up for membership or use of R1SE facilities you agree to us using any photos and videos taken for promotion purposes unless otherwise stated in writing to the email: rise@hiltonbournemouth.co.uk.

The Membership Agreement will be governed by the laws of England and Wales. If a dispute arises, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts. However, if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are a resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.

11. 2024 GOLD MEMBERS

(A) If you are signing up for our Gold Membership offer, available January & February 2024, your membership will be paid upfront for the year 2024 and will expire on the 31st December 2024.
